"Carl Linne" (ex Christoffel's Lighthouse) is designed with the looks of a traditional long keeled Bristol Pilot cutter in mind. Above the waterline she appears that way, below the waterline there is a liftkeel and a shallow moderate displacement round bilge hull to boost performance. The liftkeel will provide access to shallow waters and moorings, but boosts performance in the blue water upwind. The long waterline length, sharp hull entry and the carbon mast contribute to speed potential upwind as well.
The yacht can be used for family cruising with a small crew, sporting a self-tacking headsail and a in-boom furling mainsail. All the winches are hydraulic powered. If desired the deck layout allows her to be raced with a full crew. Hull construction and machinery are build under Lloyd’s Rules, the yacht will also be able to charter with full MCA compliance.
